Tactile Surfaces

Role: Art Direction

As the Art Director of Tactile Surfaces, I collaborated closely with creative technologists and software developers to conceptualize and execute the project’s vision. My role encompassed overseeing the seamless integration of physical, digital, and interactive design elements to create a unified and immersive experience.

Tactile Surfaces is an experimental series that reimagines how we interact with the spaces around us. The collection introduces a range of visually striking effects—from kinetic cubescapes to shifting rainbow gradients—each activated by touch, transforming the visual environment into a dynamic and mesmerizing experience.

In the Kinetic Cubescape, a single touch ripples through a metallic grid, animating a tangible, ever-shifting landscape. The Fire-Bending Effect delivers an electrifying reaction, with sparks and energy coursing across the surface, while the Liquid Grid responds with fluid ripples and organic distortions. The Rainbow Gradient Wall immerses participants in vibrant waves of color, blending and evolving with each interaction.

This project leverages proprietary real-time tracking and projection mapping technology, inviting participants to become co-creators of their environment. Every touch acts as a catalyst, sparking stunning visual transformations and redefining the possibilities of interactive design.
